Dental care FAQ
Are dental cleanings included in Hannah Membership?
Yes. Routine dental cleanings are included in Total Lifetime Care® at no additional charge — no per-cleaning fees, no annual caps, no co-pays. Cleanings are performed under anesthesia by your Hannah veterinarian at our Portland or Tigard hospital.
What dental procedures does Hannah perform?
Hannah veterinarians perform routine dental cleanings, dental exams, dental radiographs, and most dental extractions and minor oral surgery — all at our Portland and Tigard hospitals. Complex specialty procedures referred to outside veterinary dental specialists are not covered by the Membership.
How often should my dog or cat get a dental cleaning?
Most adult dogs and cats benefit from a dental cleaning roughly every 12 months, though your Hannah veterinarian will recommend the right frequency based on your Pet’s breed, age, and oral health. Hannah Members get unlimited dental exams at no extra cost, so we can monitor for issues between cleanings.
Are dental procedures safe for senior Pets?
Dental health is especially important for senior Pets — untreated dental disease links to heart, kidney, and liver problems. Hannah veterinarians perform pre-anesthesia bloodwork and tailor anesthesia protocols to senior Pets’ specific health profiles to minimize risk.
